My splurge-worthy beauty buys!

Everyone (including me) LOVES a good bargain. I love walking into the drugstore and filling my basket full of glosses, lipsticks, mascaras, you name it. But every once in a while, I stumble across a cosmetic elsewhere that is worth the few extra (or more) dollars.

Today I thought I’d share with y’all my splurge-worthy beauty buys. These products may not be the cheapest, but they are favorites in my collection. I will say that I have mentioned these products many times before in my blog, but I thought it’d be handy to have my favorites all in one post.  Let’s take a look!

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Correcting Creme ($32)

This creme, ladies, is a game-changer in every sense of the word! If you struggle with redness and have been looking for something to combat that, please look no further! I first discovered this stuff about a year or so ago and did an entire post on it. Currently, I’m on my second pot!

When I am experiencing a lot of redness, I use this cream as a foundation. I know it comes in a rather small pot, but a little goes a LONG way. I tap a small amount on each area of my face (cheeks, forehead, chin) and gently blend it out. In an instant, all my redness is gone! Best of all, it is not cakey, heavy or anything unpleasant. It is so light and airy. I like to set mine with a little powder to make sure it stays in place (and it also helps with shine.)

Again, if you are looking for something to help with redness, PLEASE give this creme a try. You will not regret it!

Too Faced Soleil Matte Bronzer in Medium/Deep ($30)

Generally, I’m a pretty brave beauty junkie. I’ll try most any trend or product. But bronzer is something that I stayed away from for a long time, fearing that I’d over-apply and look orange.

My feelings changed when I discovered this bronzer from Too Faced. Best. Bronzer. Ever. No lie! It is completely buildable so you don’t have to be afraid to go overboard. It doesn’t look the least bit orange or overdone!  You look naturally sun-kissed. Plus, it really and truly smells like chocolate. I honest to goodness don’t think I’ll ever try another bronzer. This one is just too wonderful to be without! Plus, it comes in three shades so it’s easy to find your fit!

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden ($20)

In my opinion, I think priming your eyelids is the most overlooked yet one of the most important steps in your beauty routine. This magical cream can make any eyeshadow–loose, pressed, cream–last hours longer!

The most unique thing about Eden is the slight yellow tint it has. Not only does it prime your eyelids, but it also makes them appear brighter and more awake. Who doesn’t need that?! The formula is thin and blends easily. It also does a good job of intensifying shadow! $20 may seem like a lot to spend on an eyeshadow primer, but it IS worth it! I’m on my second tube.

MAC Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul ($27)

Warm Soul is the one blush shade where I use it for a while, take a break, and then wonder why in the world I strayed after I realize just how pretty it looks on my cheeks! This pretty rose-gold shade is just sooo gorgeous and flattering. What I love about it is it enhances the natural pink coloring of my cheeks, and then adds a soft gold sheen. It really warms up my complexion instantly.

Another good thing about Warm Soul is it is flattering in all seasons. I enjoy wearing it in the warm and cold months! Plus, it’s not too shimmery or tacky so you can wear it any time of day!

Benefit They’re Real! Mascara ($24)

They’re Real is my current Holy Grail Mascara. I do have about five mascaras currently in my collection, but this one is by far my favorite. Everything about it is fabulous! The formula is jet-black and intense. The wand does an incredible job of grabbing each lash–volumizing, lengthening, and coating them with plenty of product. I honestly can’t imagine life without it!

It is commonly known that They’re Real! Is a bit of a doozy to take off. Luckily, I finally found and easy and affordable solution! Micellar Water. Sold at the drugstore. I also did a whole post about that, too!

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita ($20)

Lolita is probably on it’s way to being a beauty cult-classic. I, along with many other beauty junkies, am in love with this unique, brownish-rose shade. The color description seems a bit odd, but trust me, it is sooo pretty! The formula is thin and watery, like a lip stain. I have found that it lasts till about halfway through the day until I have to re-apply. Not bad for staying power!

This liquid lipstick has a matte finish–but don’t worry, it doesn’t look too intense or drying as long as you prep your lips with balm. To me, it is also wearable for everyday! It reminds me of my lip color, but a shade or so darker.

Prada Candy Eau De Parfum ($68 for 1 oz)

FullSizeRender (7)

I can honestly tell you that I fall more and more in love with Prada Candy each time I spray it. I can’t get enough! It is the perfect balance of warm, sweet and natural scents. I would describe it as primarily smelling of caramel and vanilla. Underneath that, there is this slight sugary-sweet smell. Finally, this nice and musky, natural smell finishes the perfume.

It smells so good! That’s all I can say. I bought it in this limited edition mini-sized bottle but I am positive that I will repurchase it in a bigger bottle. Heck, I’ll even say that this is my favorite perfume at the moment–and I have a good collection of them! If you’re looking for a warm, wearable and comforting perfume, Prada Candy is the one!

I hope you enjoyed this post! I know it’s just a tad bit lengthy but I love sharing my thoughts with you all.
