This week, I thought I would share with you some makeup purchases I have made lately. It’s already August, which means pretty soon fall will make its debut! I love fall because you get to experiment with bold colors. When I was thinking about writing this post today, I noticed that the items I’ve brought would be perfect for fall makeup. Here they are!
We all know that nude palettes are all the rage lately. As much as I love trying the new makeup trends, I just can’t bring myself to drop too much money on an eyeshadow palette. Physician’s Formula Shimmer Strips Warm Nude Palette completely fixed my problem! It has gorgeous nude shades without that big price tag. I actually purchased this at the beginning of summer, but I also think it will look great in the cold months, too! The gold and rose shades will warm up your eyes in the frigid temps. (Sorry it doesn’t photograph well!) You can also use this palette for highlighter, bronzer or even blush. Just use a fluffy brush to apply.
I would have to say that a black liquid eyeliner pen is one of the essentials in my makeup bag. I wear it year-round. Last week, I decided I was going to try this one from Loreal called The Infallible Blackbuster. It is unlike any eyeliner pen I’ve ever owned because of its JUMBO size! My eyes happen to be a little bit wide, so I found that I like my line to be a bit bigger and thicker. When I would use a traditional felt-tip eyeliner pen, I would have to trace over my line two or three times to achieve my desired thickness. Sometimes, the line would be crooked because I would have to go over it so many times. I no longer have to worry about that with The Blackbuster. It draws a creamy, thick and smooth line in just one coat. I’m never using another felt-tip eyeliner pen!
Today, I ventured to Target to pick up some school supplies. Like always, I had to stop by their glorious makeup department to see if there was any new items that I needed to try. I stumbled across this little jewel—Maybelline Master Kajal Cream Kohl Eyeliner in Navy Night. The unique packaging of this item really caught my eye. With most cream liners, you have to sharpen them or they are twist-up. But with this one, all of the product is already dispensed. You don’t have to sharpen, twist up or anything. Just hold the handle sideways and apply. I think this navy color will be great for fall. When I tried it on, I found that it made the whites of my eyes look brighter. This will come in handy if I’m up late studying!
I have always been a fan of Milani blushes. They are high-quality, pigmented and are super affordable. I decided to buy the Baked Blush in Berry Amore. I know it looks pink in the picture, but it is actually a warm rose color with soft gold undertones—so so pretty! Again, this will be great to wear in the fall because It’ll warm up your skin tone.
I received this tiny lipstick from Sephora a few months ago. The Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick in N9 has been one of my favorites ever since. As the name says, it is a pretty, natural shade—it’s almost like the color of your lips but a little bit darker. I like the finish of this lipstick the most—it’s smooth, moisturizing and buttery.
So there ya have it– makeup that will look great for the upcoming fall season. These items will make you look fresh and radiant despite the cold temps to come. Hope you enjoy!
Have a fabulous day!
